A Day At The Beach!

Pictures Can Be Enlarged By Clicking On Them

What could be better than a day at the beach?! I know many of you are longing for the first signs of spring! Thanks Terrie at Terrie's Lil" Piece of Serenity for those wonderful Robin pictures and the sound effects to go along with them. For many of you it's been days, weeks and even months since you've seen the ground. Snow, as picturesque as it can be gets old after days, weeks and months of shoveling and plowing. I know, I had my share of it for 4 years. So, I thought I'd bring you a little bit of sand, surf and sunshine to look forward to or to dream about. Crank up the heat, rub on some Coppertone, Panama Jack or Ocean Potion, turn on some Embers, Beach Boys or Drifters music, put on your shaggin shoes and shades and your ready for a day on the strand! Grand Strand that is...Sunny Myrtle Beach, SC. Just thought you'd like to know, it is a sunny day here on the strand, but I'll definitely be cranking up the heat here as well since the temperature has only made it to 21 degrees so far. I know, I know... some of you would love for it to be a nice toasty 21 degrees. Have fun pretending, it won't be long now. Spring is only 64 days away!!

  11. Hi Elizabeth. For a moment their I actually could feel the warmth of the sun on my skin...and that hasn't happened for so many months, now. It looks like we may be in the same place in life...grown children...and the blessing of being able to pursue our passions.
If you get a chance...stop by my farm blog, too....it is the most fun place in my world! Happy to meet you!

  13. I'm short on time today but I wanted to stop by and say "thank you" for visiting my blog and leaving a nice comment. I'm thrilled to have found your blog as well and these beach shots are just what I needed on a cold winter day. (I'm one of those that can't see the ground under the snow). I look forward to coming back later and catching up on your past posts.

  14. Thanks for your visit and comment! It made me smile. I read more about you and your relocating. You live close to our sons realtively speaking, since we are 2400 miles away:) Our oldest and youngest sons live in Richmond attending dental school. They really have enjoyed going down to Mrytle Beach. We are hoping to visit in May when our youngest son graduates. We have been looking at home rentals in the area to spend a week with our family, by your beautiful beach:) Thanks again for visiting.

  15. Thanks for visiting me yesterday! I love Myrtle Beach, and your pictures were a welcome break from the 20 degrees and snow on the ground here. My kids go to WVU, or 3 do, and they love it! See you again soon!

  16. Hi Elizabeth!

So happy you stopped by today! I appreciate your comments, too! I think everyone agrees that a limo for 6th graders is way too much! Gives them nothing to look forward to once they get older...know what I mean?

Oh, your beach pictures look amazing! I'm so ready for spring!

Did you notice on my blog that my hubby and I met on a blind date set up by my brother? Isn't that funny? He's, also, from South Carolina...graduated from The Citadel! Small world, isn't it?

    Hope your Thursday's going great!
